Yoyo Ibarra comes back in salsa style with new single "Candela pa' la vela"

With his previous single “Olvídame”, the young popular musician from Cuba Yoyo Ibarra, so far known in the island as a singer-songwriter, savored the good salsa taste and liked it so much that he transformed his group into an orchestra which, from now on, will accompany him on his definitive journey into the genre.

In the new video clip “Candela pa’ la vela” (2016) he introduces us his latest format: Yoyo Ibarra y su orquesta, interpreting the second single of his upcoming second album. Co-authoring with Daniel Martín, under the production of always-more-famous Roniel Alfonso, producer of the already-anthological “Salseando” by Leoni Torres, the new song delivers a delicious salsa rhythm that will spread through, by the hand of the very same producer, the majority of the album tracks, already in-production by EGREM. The provisional title is “Tropical”, whose recording sees the participation of many important actual Cuban musicians.

Candela pa’ la vela is a popular phrase the authors used in reference to, according to Yoyo’s own words, “the beginning of a party; the party this song, video clip and the upcoming album are all about, in its totally danceable spin”.

The new clip has all the right ingredients to conquer the great audience, especially dancers, without betraying the original and elegant style, which Yoyo has set for his videos together with his habitual partner, renowned director Carlos Eduardo Maristany. It is a new example (the third) from this fruitful crew, after the realization of "Olvídame" (2015) and "I kiss you" (2013), both officially in the top-10 videos in their respective years in Cuba.

Entirely shot in one of the many enchanting Cuban beaches, "Candela pa’ la vela" does not give up the dancing, happiness, color and flamboyant characters who interpret the script with great creativity.

Cuban choreographer Tony Menéndez also took part in the project, pioneer in the choreographic and dancing work of the clip. You can appreciate his talent in the sensuality and movements of the participating models and dancers.

Once more, CUBAMUSIC.COM hosts the world premiere of another interesting single and video clip of this young talented artist, who has now officially conquered a vast audience in Cuba. We invite all the good Cuban music fans around the world not to miss the opportunity to discover this versatile artist and enjoy his creations, especially the latest one: “Candela pa’ la vela”.
