Choral director and professor.
Carmen Rosa López was born in Havana in August 1960. She is a graduate from the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Havana.
She has been music professor at the ISA School of Dramatic Arts, at the National School of Art and at the Higher Pedagogical School.
She has imparted courses for children in Nicaragua, Spain and Ecuador and is both organizer and author of the "Voces del Mañana" Choral Festival.
During her thorough artistic career, Carmen Rosa López has performed in important concerts, namely those held in commemoration of Mozart"s Bicentenary; in the closing ceremony of the 1996 International Jazz Festival; in the 12th Festival of Contemporary Music; as well as in those events associated with collaboration activities with the UNICEF Office in Havana.
Some of the most important awards granted to Carmen Rosa López include the 1989 EGREM Great Award, the Pedagogical Merit
Diploma and the Children"s Music Award during the 1999 Cubadisco.
