The sextet was founded in 1927 by Domingo Vargas.
This group dedicated itself to the dancing genres and participated in radio and TV programs, along with album recording and performing all around the island.
The Jovenes del Cayo group accompanied many prestigious vocalists such as: Miguelito Valdez, Perez Prado and Daniel Santos.
