Singer.
At a very early age, she started her artistic career as a soloist singer at Cuban TV children´s programs. She studied violin at the "Manuel Saumell" Conservatory in Havana and was a member of the Selective Choir.
Architect, graduated in 1988 at the University of Havana, the complex world of sounds and silences was more attracting and engaging to her than the also fascinating atmosphere of lines and design.
Rochi not only performs the songs made by young composers of the so-called new Cuban songs, but also of famous composers such as those representative of the feeling Movement. She has performed together with Cuban important artists such as Santiago Feliú, Gerardo Alfonso, Silvio Rodríguez, Amaury Pérez, Marta Valdés and Sergio Vitier.
Her performances in Mexico, Brazil, China, and Venezuela were highly praised by the public and the critics.
She recorded her first CD, Cantar al Ché, wit
h the Panamerican Productions CORP., of Toronto, Canada, which is distributed by the EGREM Cuban company.
She participated in the Cuba-USA week ("Music Bridge"), together with artists like Lisa Loeb, Bonie Rait and Beth Nielsen Chapman.
