  Misael Caballero Biography :

Guitar player and composer.

Misael Caballero was born on January 12, 1965 in Matanzas. He is a self-taught musician. Since childhood, he began playing the guitar and when he was ten years old he was already participating in the Pioneer´s Festivals as troubadour. At these festivales, he was granted many provincial awards for the quality of his interpretation.

He was member of the "Arenas Blancas" quartet in the New Trova Movement and, later on, he joined a number of rock groups like "Explosión Latina" and "Arte Vivo".

In 1989, Misael Caballero founded his own group known as "Lógica" where he mainly performed jazz. He participated in Festivals of this genre and performed at the famous "La Zorra y el Cuervo" jazz club.

He was invited as independent musician by Gabriel Hernández to participate at the Jazz Festival in Cancún in 1997 and 1998. That same year he renewed his group, now known as "Lógica II", and, besides playing jazz, he also began interpreting the pop-fusion music resorting to a very peculiar musical format: bass, guitar, drum, batá drum and voice.
