Guitar player, composer and singer.
Liuba María Hevia was born on December 14, 1964. She is a self-taught artist who began her artistic career by accompanying her songs with a guitar until 1990 when she founded her own group made up by young graduates from different schools of art in the country.
She is considered one of the most outstanding composers and vocalists of the young generation of Cuban musicians. Liuba María Hevia has achieved pristine personal profiles that have turned her into the main representative of the combination of modernity and tradition for she has opened the folkloric and popular frontiers to new sonorous and expressive worlds. Therefore, she has been placed among the highest exponents of Cuban culture today.
