Biografie

Singer.

Luis Téllez was born in 1952 in Santiago de Cuba.

He has been the main star of the famous "Tropicana" Cabaret and the "Noche Tropical" shows, which constituted a record-breaking success in Japan, as well as "Antología del Bolero" with which he toured the Iberian Peninsula masterfully and excellently interpreting the most outstanding pieces of this genre.

Luis Téllez has developed an important project in Spain disseminating the bolero and other genres of Cuban music. His prodigal international career has led him to perform in different parts of the world and to share the stage with artists of the stature of Rocío Jurado, Armando Manzanero, Dionne Warwick, George Benson, Sara Montiel, Paloma San Basilio, Dyango, Los Panchos Trio, Los Sabandeños and Pablo Milanés, among many others.

A bolero singer par excellence, Luis Téllez seduces the public with his impeccable tuned and melodic voice and with his command of the stage.

When referring to this singer, Silvio Rodríguez, the well-known Cuban troubadour stated: "Luis Téllez takes the challenge of recomposing different visions and manages to bring about sonorities from different latitudes and times not only through the experience of his voice, but also through his passion, that divine and demonic essence, always experimental, that true artists possess".
