The Trío Cubano de Cuerdas (Cuban String Trio) was founded in 1995, integrated by Jorge Amado Caña, Amílcar Bermúdez and Omar González, its director.
One year after, the Trio participated in the recording of a phonogram of great importance for the Cuban music, entitled "Tríos de La Havana", gathering the best groups of the city having this format.
The Trío Cubano de Cuerdas has performed in Cuba and abroad, interpreting the works of young Cuban composers as well as those of the traditional repertoire. This group, besides innovating the trio format concept, achieves an interesting sonority combination.
