Yoanna Álvarez Peña, better known in the Cuban musical scene as Shiina, is a young artist with an unmistakable voice and beauty, and a great versatility. She is a self-taught artist who entered the world of music through the vocal quartet Los que llegaron primero, of which she was a founder. She later joined the prestigious female band Anacaona, seducing dance fans and managing to truly get the public know her through her charisma and style. After fruitful years of experience she decides to leave Anacaona to follow her own creative impetus. In addition to singing, she composes her own songs and has composed for other national and foreign singers. She has also turned her creativity on audiovisual production, photography and television hosting. In 2016, she decides to create her own band, composed of ten young and talented musicians with academic formation. The repertoire of the band includes salsa, timba, ballad, bachata, electronic merengue and fusion.
